Oprah
Ok, this picture obviously has nothing to do with Oprah, it is just a cute picture. BUT for anybody that knows my Mom, watch the Oprah show on THURSDAY, MAY 8, because my mom has tickets to the show! Oprah is coming to Las Vegas for a special Tina Turner and Cher show and my mom wrote in and won tickets! Although she could probably only name a couple of their songs, she is now apparently a "big fan". :) She won two tickets so her sister is flying in so they can go together. So watch the show and look for my mom dancing in the audience!
Happy 90th Opa!

real dawgs wear purple
We actually went to a UW sporting event this last week. I don't know if it should count though...because they were playing BYU so obviously we sat with the cougars (even though Ryan wore his UW hat.). He was interested about 1/2 an inning and then the bleachers and the rocks became a lot more exciting. It was a beautiful day and Ryan had a blast with his cousin Easton. We will definitly miss having them so close when we move!

G. Ryan Grange
Happy Birthday Ryan! When we look back and think about Ryan's 3rd year, here are some things we will remember:
- Gilbert, Spinky, Montgomery Moose, Franklin, and many other favorite characters from his books.
- Preschool with his friends.
- Potty-Training...hopefully with fondness in years to come.
- the Presidents of the United States
- Ryan's funny sayings. They are too numerous to remember and write down.
- How lucky we are to have our sweet boy Ryan!

Ryan's Birthday Round-up
We had Ryan's birthday party today. As Spencer and I were preparing last night for the big party, Spencer said, "Did we really volunteer to pretty much baby-sit all of Ryan's friends for an hour tomorrow??". But it really was a fun party, the boys loved it, and even Spencer and I enjoyed ourselves! As you can see, the boys looked so cute all dressed up as cowboys.
Our little cowboy: notice his cowboy boots, they were a present for him from Albuquerque. We bought them so he'll fit in there.
The Gang.
A cowboy meal of hot dogs, chips, and sasparilla (root beer).
Games included throwing beanbags into a cowboy hat, pin the hat on Woody the cowboy, and shooting paper cups down with a squirt gun. We also decorated our cowboy "vests" (paper bags).

albuquerque in pictures
Here's some of the few pictures we took. I think we have forgotten how to take pictures without kids. Some of the pictures are of Old Town, we found some mountains for Spencer, and one is of the beautiful Albuquerque Temple. We were so excited to find out there is a full size temple so close by.
p.s. please excuse our fake smiles and my nasty cold sore. :)
