home sweet home!

Here are some pictures of our new house.  As you can see, we have no pictures up on the walls yet, no paint, pretty much no decorations.  We are just VERY HAPPY to be all unpacked and settled in before baby comes!  

The laundry room, it's upstairs, has a sink and cupboards, and I love it!  Who knew you could be so excited about a laundry room?

The front of our house.  Our kids had better learn their address, because they could get lost pretty easy around here and not know which house is theirs!  There is a whole lot of brown going on around these neighborhoods.

gifts for baby sister

We've been busy at our house getting ready for this baby.  We have washed new pink blankets, hung up cute little dresses, and packed the hospital bag.  Ryan picked out a new girl toy to bring to his baby sister in the hospital.  Andrew thought a good gift for his new little sister would be to pick up conjunctivitis (that's right, pink eye).  He has been as happy as ever, but his eyes were bright red and they are goopy and gross.  Hopefully the medicine will kick in and do it's magic before he has a chance to spread it to the baby!  

These pictures don't really show how his eyes really look, he looks to cute to have pink eye.  But you can kind of see all the eye goobers on his eyelashes. 

I guess pink eye is better than what Ryan had just weeks before Andrew was born.  Ryan caught hand, foot, and mouth disease.  Much worse.  

i'm not that talented

Thanks to some very crafty and talented mamas, we have one cute crib ready for a baby girl.  My mom made the crib skirt and bumper pad and my mother-in-law made the quilt.  I love the fabric and think it all looks great.  

A note to my future baby girl:  sorry little girl, you're out of luck.  I am not the seamstress that your Grandma's are, so if you have any hope of getting beautifully sewed handicrafts, you better hope your Grandmas stick around a long time!  :)
