Preschool haps

Mabel has been talking all summer about going to preschool to the "blue class",
And she finally got to go!  She missed the first week while we were at Disneyland, so here is her first day.  She loves it, I love it, it's great.  She has 2 of her little church friends in her class and went all the time when I would help in the class with Andrew, so she is an old pro.
Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Fishing

The boys got to go fishing a couple times this summer.

Andrew with his big catch!  (They threw it back in).

Disneyland Day 2

 Classic shot, our last day!
We found the characters right away, they were all on main street before the park officially opened.

Space Mountain!!  THe kids rode this ride 4 times.  It doesn't show in the picture, but they really like it.
The park was REALLY dead Friday morning, it was awesome.
We had rode almost all the rides Tues. so we rode a lot of our favorites again on Friday, and again :)  Buzz Lightyear- 6 times, Star Tours- 4.  We even watched Captain EO.  Just as good as I remembered it as a kid!
I took the girls to the Fantasy Princess Faire and to Pixie Hollow while the boys rode some rides.  WE had to wait longer then almost any ride, but it was worth it, so cute.  The princess are really in character and so sweet to the kids.

We went and saw Mickey again in his house in Toon Town.

We had such a great week, I'm ready to go again!

California Adventure

On our 2nd day we went to California Adventures.  The park was almost empty....
because everyone was in the new Cars Land.  It was crazy!
It looks just like Radiator Springs.

I have to say that Luigi's Tires ride was not my favorite.  (Lucy threw her biggest meltdown of the vacation while we were in line...also our longest wait of the week, 50 minutes!)
Radiator Racers was so fun though, it's behind the girls.
Ryan was the only one tall enough to go on California Screamin' and he loved it.
I took the kids on Tower of Terror and they did NOT like it.  Only time they got freaked out all week.
We're starting to get tired....Disneyland is exhausting!

Disneyland-Day 1

We pulled the kids out of school and went to Disneyland on our first real family trip.  Us Toolson's are a little Disney crazy so I was super pumped and Spencer was being a good sport and supporting me in my fun.  I was a little afraid that my dreams would be crushed and that it would be a disaster seeing as we have 4 kids under 7...but Disneyland did not disappoint.  It was so great.
Waiting to get in.  I am so glad we went when we did, not crowded at all.  We were walking onto rides  a lot of times.
Lucy was a champ.  She loved the rides and just hung out when she couldn't go.  Lucy kept looking at us when we were on the rides and said "Fun ride", but she would say it with a straight face.
We had Magic Morning entrance the first day and we were able to hit up all the rides in Fantasyland in that one hour.
Mabel wore special "Disneyland shoes" that had about an inch platform heel.  That made her exactly 40 inches and able to ride almost all the big rides.  Which she did and she loved.  I would try to put my arm around her and she would tell her me not to hold onto her.  She even put her arms up and would scream like the teenagers she saw.
Jedi Training was so fun.  The boys both got to battle Darth Vador at the end.

Lucy liked the characters...from a distance.
She knows all the characters names.  Seeing as she is the youngest of 4 and watches way more TV then she should, she has seen all the Disney movies (Ryan's precious eyes had hardly even laid eyes on any TV at her age)
We met up with our great college friends the Cottrells and had a blast.
The parade was a favorite, they wanted to watch it again.
Thanks again Greg for riding the tea cups with the kids twice in a row.  Barf.
Right after this we lost Andrew for a few minutes.  I found him down by the Matterhorn crying, but with 3 Disney workers already.  He was chasing his light stick necklace and went the wrong way after a ride.  NOT a fun couple minutes...is that just a Disneyland right of passage to lose a kid???

1st day

I kind of forgot about my blog.  SO let's go back to August.
 Andrew is in Kindergarten now!
And Ryan is in 2nd grade, school is old news for him.
Andrew's first day:  He was super mad that I didn't let him ride the bus, I wanted to take him for the first morning and take pictures.  I have to be honest.  I was not that tearful seeing Andrew go into the classroom.  I was pretty excited about him going to Kindergarten.  I love Andrew, but I still have 2 littles at home :)
He loves school and was really excited that first day.
 With best buddy Jacob.
FINALLY getting to ride the bus.

I'm really enjoying my time with the girls at home.  It took Mabel awhile to get into a new routine without her best playmate Andrew.  Luckily she now has Lucy who does whatever she tells her too :)
