It was the start of New Mexico's State Fair this weekend. We took the boys to check out all the animals and exhibits. It was great fun. We saw lots of farm animals....I made the mistake of wearing flip flops. Walking through the dairy barn in flip flops is a bad idea. Anyway, the boys love animals so they were in heaven. At "Old McDonalds Farm" they had the cutest activities for kids. They gave kids baskets and aprons and had to do "farm chores" and they earned a prize. Ryan of course was quite serious about it and very concerned that Andrew wasn't taking it quite so seriously.
And just in case you care, my least favorite exhibit at the fair is the room full of all the rabbits kids have raised. Row after row of scary, red eyed bunnies, just sitting there. I think next year we should catch one of the rabbits that run through our yard and eat our grass and see if it wins a prize.

Is Old McDonald's Farm where delicious Quarter-Pounders with Cheese begin their journey to my plate?
It looks like so much fun! Did you ever go to the Puyallup fair here?
You must have read "Bunnicula" when you were a kid...
