one of the boys favorite outdoor activities is throwing "dirt rocks" against the wall. We are happy when we can go outside! (and by "we" I mean the kids, and I stay inside watching TV and eating bon bons. Just kidding....kind of :)
I love distractions like this! I kind of wish we had a bunch of dirt somewhere in the yard Lydia could just play in. The only dirt we let her play in is our garden. And we only let her do that when the garden isn't in. It is such a great distraction, I want to just pull up a corner of the lawn and tell her to go to town.
